Wolf! Review - Release Day

Release Day! It's finally here!

My book is up on the site at: http://www.whispershome.com/book_pages/wolf.html

And here's a new review!

Lyssa Merrick wants her freedom, but Wolfe Reardon has other plans in mind.

Author Marie Beau spins a fabulous tale of finding one’s mate and having the patience to wait for love. Her characters, Lyssa and Wolfe, are well-written and dynamic. The contrast between their spoken language and body language is both amusing and alluring—a perfect example of how reason and logic don’t always know what the body and heart know.

Having read a great deal of shapeshifter stories, what I found most pleasing about Beau’s Wolf! was how comfortable the characters were in their animal forms. So many books of this paranormal nature describe characters who are self-conscious about their abilities to shift. They are sometimes fearful of shifting or so concerned with trying to hide their wild sides that they can’t enjoy being themselves. Beau’s characters openly embrace their furry forms and a sexy playfulness shines through.

I’ve always thought I could make it as a shapeshifter. Marie Beau’s Wolf! makes me want to howl at the moon even more.

Wolf!

ONE MORE DAY!!!!
As promised, another blog spot along the way to learn more about Lyssa and Wolfe and another chance to leave a comment for a chance at the free copy!
His voice, like warm maple syrup, poured over her. A vision flashed across her mind of hiking with him, touching, holding hands. She blinked and did a mental shake.
She flipped open her planner. “How long a hike are you planning?”
Wiping her damp palms on her jeans, she tried not to breathe too deeply. His scent had her wanting to step closer and inhale him, to touch him…to lean into his broad chest, dip her tongue into his...whoa. Down girl.

Here's another little excerpt:

Lyssa swept the curtain aside and stepped through the doorway, automatically smiling for the potential customer. She lifted her gaze to the golden stare of a stranger…a very large stranger. Broad shoulders, reminiscent of a Viking, barely cleared the small doorframe with very little headroom. She glanced at the spare inches above his head. Six-four maybe. The late afternoon sun streaked through, highlighting the auburn streaks in his dark brown, curly hair creating a shimmer of red—an eerie sight. She had never seen hair that color. Not on a person.

Lyssa’s face felt frozen, like a plaster cast ready to crack if she changed her expression.

His nostrils flared. What does he smell? Who is he? She sniffed again. What is he?

The wildness is upon us! Come and get to know Lyssa and Wolfe. I promise you'll enjoy!

Shape Shifter Romance

So, are you nervous, Lyssa? You know, your story's being released in just a few days.

Lyssa chews a fingernail and shrugs, then nods toward the tree line. You see how the pups and kitten are playing and chasing each other over there, so free and unconcerned? She turns her green eyed stare toward me. That's what it's all about. Life is precious, and Wolfe gave that back to me.

Wolfe steps up behind her and lays his hands on her shoulders, nuzzling Lyssa's ear. Her sigh makes me feel like I'm intruding.

The two of you make a striking couple. Was it love at first sight?

The bark of laughter came from Wolfe but was followed by a chuckle from Lyssa. Hardly, she answers, glancing back up at him, the love shining in her eyes. But you can't fight fate.

Well, thank you, Lyssa and Wolfe for sharing a moment with us. I'm sure these lovely people can't wait to hear the rest of your story.

Hand in hand they walk away, the pups and kitten scurrying around them. When I glance up the hill a moment later, a wolf sits at the top of the hill staring back at me with a silver lynx beside him. The pups and kitten seem content to roll in the grass around them - happy and free.

Thanks for stopping by to meet Lyssa and Wolfe. Their story will be out on Friday, October 1st. Hope you like it.

Shape Shifter Romance Coming Soon!

TWO MORE WEEKS!!!!

Have you ever had time just seem to be dragging, but it's really rushing by?

That's how I feel. Just two more weeks of nervously waiting.

Well, back to the story...I just wanted to share another nibble of the scene where Lyssa and Wolfe meet...

Excerpt:

Their gazes clashed, and slowly the corner of his mouth lifted in a semblance of a smile. His gaze made a short excursion down her body. “Good. Im an experienced hiker and anyone else who comes with me will be also.”

It felt like hands skimmed over her flesh, not just his gaze. Gooseflesh broke out on her arms as she quivered inside. Lyssa lifted one hand toward the pen and the other to the cover of her appointment book.

He stepped closer to the counter, close enough that when he reached out, his hand covered hers. Shockwaves raced through her system.

Her heartbeat kicked up a notch. She licked her lips and took a deep breath. Oh God, now what have I done. Lyssa tried to slide her hand out from under his but he wrapped his thumb around to her palm and gently held her hand in place. She swallowed hard and set the pen back down, her insides melting.

The scent came to her again, stronger than before.

Her gaze jerked up. Darn it all, I’m really slipping. Wolf!

Twenty Days!!!!

Wow, my first review!
I just read your story and I totally loved it! It is very sweet, and Wolfe is so sexy and wonderful...he is the perfect hero. I loved the way they interact with their animal instincts, and the beginning scene when they first see each other has great chemistry...it's terrific. Really nice job! I also love stories that are short and sweet and fast-faced like that.

Lyssa and Wolfe are pretty anxious about the story, hoping you'll all enjoy it. Here's another little niblet.

Lyssa Merrick has no intention of ever being involved with a wolf, but when Wolfe Reardon seeks her wildlife services she realizes choosing a mate is not always a conscious decision.
